AI-assisted Feedback Management for SaaS

Connect Intercom

Connect Intercom so support can turn a conversation into product feedback, or search and upvote features without leaving Inbox.

What you can do

  • Connect one Intercom workspace with OAuth from Settings
  • Import a whole conversation when a teammate tags a message with one of your import tags
  • Search past conversations by date, open or closed, and tag, then import the ones you select
  • Use the Feedback1 Inbox app to search features, upvote, or submit new feedback from the conversation

How to

  1. Open app.feedback1.ai and go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Open the Intercom card and authorize the Intercom workspace. This is a separate app from the Feedback1 support Messenger widget.
  3. Choose a default product. Add import tags exactly as they appear in Intercom. Tags are case-sensitive. Leave the list empty if you only want historic import, not live tagging.
  4. In Intercom Inbox, tag a message (use Tag this reply), not the person in the sidebar. Person tags are ignored. If a tagged thread does not appear, take one Inbox action such as a reply, note, assign, close, or reopen.
  5. To catch up older threads, use historic import on the Intercom settings page: filter, select conversations, then import. Each conversation becomes one feedback item and stays in sync if you import it again.
  6. Pin the Feedback1 app in Intercom Inbox for teammates. Search a feature to upvote (email on the contact is required). Duplicate upvotes do nothing. Submit new feedback from the same app when no feature matches.

Limits

  • Live import only runs when at least one import tag is saved. Feedback1 does not pull every Intercom conversation as a firehose.
  • The whole conversation is imported, never a single message on its own.
  • The Inbox app needs the customer's email. Historic import can still store the Intercom contact id when email is missing.
  • Support still owns the ticket in Intercom. Feedback1 stores the product-feedback record.
